IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PARKING:
The streets surrounding the Community House in Forest
Hills Gardens are private and you must display a parking
permit on your dashboard. If a permit is not
displayed your car will be booted and you will be fined.
(The permit does not allow parking in no-parking zones or
on private streets for purposes unrelated to Community
House activities.)
DIRECTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY HOUSE:
SUBWAY
- Take the Independent Line E, F, G, R or V train to the
Continental - 71st Avenue station. Exit the
subway on the south side of Queens Blvd. Walk east onto
Queens Blvd. (towards the Midway Theatre) to Ascan Avenue.
Turn right onto Ascan Avenue and go under the railroad
trestle to Burns Street. Turn left onto Burns Street to
corner (Borage Place) make a right turn onto Borage Place.
The building is on the right.
LONG
ISLAND RAILROAD
- Take the railroad to the Forest Hills Station. After
exiting the station, walk east onto Burns Street across
Ascan Avenue. Turn right onto Borage Place and walk half a
block. The building is on the right.
GRAND
CENTRAL PARKWAY
(From Long Island) - Exit at Queens Blvd. West (Exit 15).
As you go up the ramp bear as far left as possible and
then bear right to Queens Blvd. At the traffic light turn
right onto Queens Blvd. (main road). Proceed .6 mile to
Ascan Avenue and turn left. Go under the railroad trestle
proceed one block to Greenway North and turn left.
Continue one block to Borage Place make a left, building
is on the left.
LONG
ISLAND EXPRESSWAY
(From Manhattan, Staten Island or New Jersey) - Exit at
Queens Blvd. (Exit 19). Turn right onto Queens Blvd. Look
for the Midway Theater on the right (about 1.6 miles) and
be sure you are in the service lane after that. Make a
right turn at Ascan Avenue. Go under the railroad trestle
proceed one block to Greenway North and turn left.
Continue one block to Borage Place make a left, building
is on the left.
VAN
WYCK EXPRESSWAY
(From the Whitestone Expressway) - Exit at Union Turnpike
West (exit 8). Bear right to Queens Blvd. At traffic light
turn right onto Queens Blvd. (main road). Proceed .6 mile
to Ascan Avenue and turn left. Go under the railroad
trestle proceed one block to Greenway North and turn left.
Continue one block to Borage Place make a left, building
is on the left.
